Guide to Hiring
The quickest and easiest way to make an enquiry, is via our website, alternatively phone in, but preferably come in and see us!!
Newman Hire is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm and there is NO need to make an appointment.
Once you have chosen your items, we will list them on a confirmation order note. This document will show you your chosen items, the risk value and hire cost for each item, the production name and details, collection date and length of hire.
The risk value mentioned above is the replacement cost that will be charged should the item not be returned. Our rate for hiring is 7.5% of the risk value for the first weeks hire, 5% for the second and 2.5% for each week thereafter.
Once you are happy with the order and wish to proceed, we will require an Official Purchase Order from you confirming this with an invoice address or registered office address and a contact phone number.
On receipt of your purchase order all items will be prepared, tested and packed, ready for requested hire date.
On collection of goods, payment should have been made if required. The transport company/courier will be need to sign and take a collection note from us that they must bring back when returning the goods along with the same packaging.
If you do not have a credit account, payment of HIRE and DEPOSIT via cheque, bacs or credit/debit card is required on or before collection.
Conditions of payment and documentation will differ if the items are being shipped abroad.
We do not supply transport. This must be arranged by the customer. Once the goods have left our premises they become the responsibility of the customer, this means, that you the customer, must make sure that all precautions of safety for the props should be considered before arranging your transport.
